3 " level kit

i know i screwed up with installing a 3 " level kit in the front of my 2004 ford f150 fx4 4x4...having a 3 inch lift in the front...would that cause the front axles not to engage from time to time..i am going to drop down,,,would a 2.5 inch be better than a 3"...or do i have to basically go down to the 2" to make the front axles engage a lot better or would the 2.5 inch be alright...

I put a 3" AS leveling kit on my 2004 f150 fx4 and it was one there for 20K miles with no problems and i put a 3" AS leveling kit on my 05 fx4 about 3k miles ago and still no problems.

Never heard of the axles not engaging with a leveling kit, but I would step down from the 3" kit anyway.

I would suggest going with a 2" leveling kit... Mine is almost perfectly level... Take a look...

Hellbentsteel.com but a 3 inch is not bad at all. I took my 3 out the other day to install my procomp and I had not wear on any front end parts. I had the lvl kit on for 30k. I had no problem with it. But you get a tad but of a rougher ride but well worth it. Bigger tires are needed after but stock wheels and tires can do for now.
