Picture Request? 3.5" fr/ 5" rear on a 06' 4WD

Im looking to lower my 06' Mark LT 4WD onto 23" Saleen Rims. They make a kit that will lower it 3.5"/5". Does anyone have pictures? I want to see if its too low. And if anyone has done it can i get some feed back as to any problems etc.

Thanks!

This is my 08 FX4 with a Saleen suspension(somewhere around 2/4-3/5) w/ 24" wheels and 295/40(33.2"x11.4") tires. It's not too low at all if you ask me. I'm already thinking about adding 1.5" drop hangers and 2" shorter coils.

That is sooo NICE... But what do you mean [2/4-3/5] what is that in inches front to rear?

Yeah I mean it's somewhere between a 2" front/4" rear drop and a 3" front/5" rear drop. On a 4wd, the 3/5 drop is not extreme at all. It's like putting a 1/3 drop on a 2wd.

Hey Thanks for the feedback!... any issues though? rubbing etc. Does it affect the 4WD system in any way?

And last can you possibly provide a link to where you bought the Saleen suspention?

Thanks Man!!

No problem man.

I haven't had any prolems at all with the 4wd. I've engaged it on the highway just to see what would happen a few times and it works flawlessly with no crazy noises. The only rubbing issue I had was on the inner fender liner on the drivers side. It had a small portion that jetted straight down at the tire. I had to trim a small 6" long by 1/2" deep. That is partially due to the fact that I have larger than normal diameter tires.

The suspension I bought on ebay from a guy in Kentucky. Just enter search words Saleen F150. He has the leafs and coils listed in a single auction, the shocks as another and the struts as another. Just buy all 3 and he square away the shipping. I think I payed $600 and change shipped to my door for all of it.

When you say "crazy noises"... are there supposed to be and you just havent experienced it? I mean, have you heard of it being a problem before? Im not planning on using it too much but I would like to have it working perfect (just for snow).

What I mean is that it works exactly as it should. I had a 2" leveling kit on the front of my truck for a few months and that caused a horrid sound when I switched to 4x4. More than likely it was due to the more extreme angle and shaft not being pushed in as much as stock. With the drop, the 4wd modes will work just like stock. You have nothing to worry about here as you aren't doing anything extreme.
