Leveling Kits

I am thinking about having a leveling kit installed on my 06 f150. I am searching for any recommenations of brands or any warnings about having this done. Will it affect my ride or gas mileage.

All brands are basically the same except for price... They are just a spacer... They come in steel, aluminum, and plastic... Avoid the plastic... The difference between steel and aluminum is minimal... Your ride may be a little stiffer as for milage, spacers do not effect mpg, larger tires do... Do not choose 3" leveling kits... They will give the CV joints to severe an angle and cause premature ware...

How do I level truck after 3 inch Skyjacker lift?

Had a 2 inch leveling kit on my 05 Ford F150 but had to take it off to install my 3 inch SkyJacker lift. That put the truck back to being higher in the back.
My question is how do I get my leveling kit back on? Tried compressing the front springs but would not work. HELP!

Just ordered my hellbent 2.5 today, the best deal I could find period $70 delivered. Did have a local shop say they could get one delivered for $100. you can find them for over $250.

This is not correct. There are different designs out there and they have their pros and cons. Talk to people who have installed different brands. Personally, I recommend a two-piece style that combines a urethane spacer in the spring with an aluminum spacer on the top. Not the cheapest, nor the easiest to install, but you'll get the best ride without compomising other components.

I went with the Auto Spring 2.5". On Ebay for about $80 shipped (powder coated). I haven't noticed any change in my ride; other than not being nose-down anymore of course. Regardless of which one you choose, make sure you get an alignment after you install.

Go with auto spring and no bigger than 2.5 inch..... Ball joints are pretty bad with a 3 inch leveling kit and will wear a lot faster than the 2-2.5

From what I found (and explained on Hell bent steels website) that the actual spacer will not measure the amount of lift. As the strut angle changes due to the spacer the lift also increses especially after alignment. Measuring from the body lines behind the front tire and in front of the rear tire 2.5 inches of actual lift should put it dead nuts level. I have found that to be the best place to measure.

Ford F150

Had a 2 inch leveling kit on my 05 Ford F150 but had to take it off to install my 3 inch SkyJacker lift. That put the truck back to being higher in the back.
My question is how do I get my leveling kit back on? Tried compressing the front springs with the 2' leveling kit but it would not go on. How do I level my truck after raising it with the 3" Skyjacker kit? Air shocks? Biger springs? Biger strut? HELP.......

What is this 3" kit? I am fairly certain when I assume this, the 3" kit is the same as the 2" kit in how it works. It is a spacer that effectively makes the front strut/shock longer. A 3" kit is generally not recommended, especially on a 4wd truck. So what was this 3" lift kit?
