2wd ?
Nothing wrong with a lifted 4x2. Really the only difference between a 4x4 and a 4x2 kit is that the spindles are different, the added hardware for the differential drop and maybe some other small stuff.
So does a 2wd actually perform enough? One of the vegas guys has a lifted or leveled 2wd and although not my taste, it looks pretty cool.

Also, I wouldnt do it because I'm pretty sure the specs on the upper and lower control arms arent the same as a 4x2..theres more involved with a 4x4. That big Rize crossmember probably wouldnt fit the same...again, idk exactly but it's more than likely an unworthy cause..
mine is a 2wd. if i want to go serious 4wheeling i'd just use my jeep that i built for that purpose. my truck does exactly what i want it to do that you cant do in a stock 2wd because of ground clearance. i wouldnt want to offroad in my 2008 f150 that i spent so much money on
Maybe research and compare the 4x4 vs. 4x2 lifts made by Pro Comp and Fabtech. See if the part numbers are the same for the components in the kits. There was recently an article on a RBP lift for the 09 F-150 inch Truckin' Magazine. It said it would work for 4x4 and 4x2 F-150's.
