Shock Suggestions Needed

I have an '05 w/2.5" leveling kit up front and 3" block in the back w/50K that needs new shocks. Are Blisteins an option? I'd like another 1" or so of lift if possible.

Thanks,
Rick

I'd go with the Bilstiens. However, you are at the limit for ride height without going to a full suspension lift or a body lift. You can't run a leveling kit and crank up the preload on the Bilstein's to get more lift. I doubt you could even get your front end bolted back together.

Thanks, Wandell. Should I get 5100 series adjustable shocks or the HD shocks?

If you are lifting at all - 5100s.

4wheelparts.com suggested that I put airbags in the back. Is this better then putting 5100s back there?

That's an option but probably more expensive. Generally bags are recommended if you are towing weight and have significant sag, they are used with your existing shocks. Simply inflate to the necessary height while you have weight on the rear, deflate when not needed.

The 5100s should be all you need though.

The latest Bilstein catalog doesn't specify for the rear at that height. Bilstein can provide that info 858.386.5900. Let me know what part numbers and I can give you a quote.
