I bought and installed the 2'' AS leveling kit. I am not sure what size tires to run i am torn between the 285-70-r17 hankook dynapro Mt or the 305-65-r17 pro comp xtreme all terrain i am not exactly sure what size tire will fit my truck after the leveling kit i dont want the fenderwell to be stuffed but i also dont want to put not enough tire on the truck It is a 2005 ford f-150 4x4 extended cab any help will be appreciated. thanks!
Go with the pro comps they look really good especially the extreme ones, i just installed the 2.5 in leveling kit on my truck and went with 33's it looks pretty good the bigger tire the better itll look, but my buddy had the extremes put on and they look really rugged with a pretty good ride
I have 285/70/17 on mine without a level kit and they look great, but rub a little while in full turn in reverse. I plan on getting an AS 2.5 kit installed soon and that should eliminate the rubbing. I think they will look really good.
They will fit. Whether there is any rubbing or trimming at all will depend on the wheel you use. THey will fit easily using the OEM wheels. Using a wider aftermarket wheel with shallow backspacing and you may have to do some trimming.

This question is for all those who have paid to have a level kit installed, in particular, the AS2.5. I got a quote today and he said worse case would be 3 hours - $225, but more likely 2 hours - $150. This seemed like a fair price, but was curious what others have been quoted. Also, the instructions say a mechanic on a bad day can install this in 1.5 hours...any comments on this? The guy I brought it to said it's like when you buy a piece of furniture and the instructions say "some assembly required"...four hours later your still assembling. That is why he figured 3 hours when they said 1.5 hours.
Any experiences with this install would be great.
Thanks
