Rancho Quick Lift

Well, after trying to find new shocks and struts locally and no one having them in stock, Bilstiens are on back order everywhere, I ended up getting the Rancho Quick lift from the local 4 Wheel Parts Wholesales store, pricey, but the truck rides great now, it lifted at least 2" and sits level front to rear now. Only thing that irks me is that for the price, Rancho has VERY vague instructions, and nothing about setting the adjustments on these shocks (RS9000XL's) I do get the free in cab wireless controller though, can't wait to get it and try it out too! By the way, not a bad job to do if you have all the tools before you get started, 1st side took us about 3 hours (with trips twice to the store to get tools we couldn't find) Second side was done in under an hour with a break for supper. Got an alingment today and it's all done, drives and rides better than new!

Great to hear!
Post pics...not many, if any, have these installed. On my R9000s I set the rears to 5 and fronts to 7. Then I played with my tire pressures till I found a good fit.

Did you happen to take any measurements of lift before and after, or is the "at least two inches" an estimate? My dads shopping for shocks for his '08 and wanted the Bilsteins due to the different heigth settings. He has a very heavy tonneau cover on the bed so his back end already sits lower than most. He doesn't have as much rake to get rid of. I'm wondering if the Ranchos would be too tall for his.

Like StoveTop said, not many have played with the Ranchos. So when the spring perch goes on, it only goes on one way and in one location, correct?

I would guess the vaugeness of the adjustment settings is probably because it's all personal preference...how are they going to be able to instruct you on what YOU like?

Galaxy, I don't want to argue with you anymore okay ? The intructions don't say ANYTHING about the adjustment settings AT ALL ! My truck is level front to back now, didn't take any before or after measurements, but eyeballing it it is level, I have a shell on the back of mine, your results may very nuff said ?

Dude, WTF? How did you get I was trying to argue with you about anything from my post?? Seemed like I was asking pretty legit questions, and making a guess on the adjustments...I know this cause I started that scentence with "I guess..." I was trying to figure a couple things about the Ranchos.

Ya know, in all 110% honesty I didn't even know it was you. I read the thread and posted a reply...I didn't say coil-over not one time

Yeah that promotion runs through the end of this month. Any purchase combination of the quick LIFT or 9000xls (adjustable) you get the controller free. We are carrying that promo as well.

They are more expensive than the Bilsteins but as you said if you can't wait due to the back order they are the equivalent.

That's interesting and unfortunate because we have a tech in house and the guy knows pretty much any vehicle and application. I've never seen him stumped. So I'm not sure who you spoke with, but glad the shocks worked out for you!
