Suspension noob question??????

I have a 2004 F150 4x4 XLT 5.4L Extended Cab. It has 80k miles and I think I am getting overdue for a suspension upgrade. I am starting to get a little rougher ride and some wheel hop.

I would like to retain the smooth ride I had when it was new as well as possibly level it out. The biggest thing is to retain a nice ride. I do not off-road the truck except for the occasional hunting trip but I rarely have to engage the 4x4 where I go, only if it has rained a lot or it's snowing. No rough terrain.

I have looked through a lot of threads and am a little confused on the right way to go. I appreciate any suggestions!

Eric

Get some Bilstien 5100 shocks. They level out the truck and also have a good ride from what I hear.

Thaks, that is what I am leaning towards. If I go with larger tires will that improve the ride or take away? Also, I would assume larger tires would increase gas mileage? I have stock tires on now.

There are a lot of varibles. Tire size, sidewall construction, etc.

My past experience has been larger tires decrease milage, you are having to turn a heavier weight and larger diameter, unless you regear which is expensive on it's own!
