Leveling question.

Ok, so I am ready to go get the rough Country 2" leveling kit. I speak to a guy about installing it at a local tire shop. Seems very knowledgeable and says about $150 - $200. I think great! Let's do it. Then, he says, I wouldn't so it though. He says lots of people having problems with them. He tells me to go with the torsion lift to level it. Now I don't know what to do. I am very hesitant to go with the torsion because I want to keep my factory ride, but I don't want problems on a brand new 2009 XLT Supercrew 4x4 either.

The problems that he says are happening are that the 4x4 binds with these and causes it to get to the point where it won't even move. After all I have read on here, I find it hard to believe. I guess I am looking for some input from some of you who have experience.

Thanks for your help!

you dont have the torsion bars........someone correct me if I am wrong but i believe that stopeed with the new body style..I am sure you could search the forums and find out for sure.

You're good with the 2" level though. You wont have any issues, just make sure you get an allighnment afterwards and you are good. I bet thats where the problems are with what he is talkign about...getting the level and not gettign an allighnment. So he may not be as knowledgeable as he sounds.

I would be afraid to get a guy to level my truck who thinks the '09 has t-bars. 2003 was the last year with them...it's been a while. A 2" leveling kit will be just fine to get your truck looking even better. See what the other '09 guys have used; I have an autospring and it looks great still and was not too bad to install.

The guy you talked to is obviously clueless. I wouldn't go back.
