Need Help!!
OKay guys, got a 2.5" Hellbent leveling kit on its way. I just wanted to get some advice before putting my truck under surgery. Me and my buddy will be installing it just wondering if i could get some pointers to make the installation go a little bit smoother. Also could i get some torque specs for the different bolts and nuts i'll be taking off and putting back on. I dont want to leave anything undertightened and have something fall off!!. Thanks and i'll be sure to take lots of pics during the process! so lets here the wisdom come forth!!!!!
There is a thread or two on here https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...ll-photos.html and also https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...t-install.html. Having a buddy is the best thing you can do. I did mine myself in about 3 hours. 2 hours on the first side and 1 on the second. You kind of have to learn as you go but it is not real difficult.
I used those write ups as well. They are excellent! I would recommend the Pitman Arm Puller instead of the hammer and there is one large socket that the write up says you don't need a deep well. It is easier if you ignore that and use the deep well. Not a bad job at all if you use both of these (especially the pictures). I am a complete idiot of a mechanic and I was able to do it by myself.

Looks like you need to compress the spring some to help line things up and relax the tension on that bolt and nut. Either put a block under the bottom arm and lower it down or put a extra jack under the bottom arm and raise it up some. You should be able to put a wrench on the bottom of the bolt to hold it while you tighten the nut.
