Shocks needed probably

My fx4 2003 model still has the original rancho shocks on it , the truck has about 160,000 miles.. It has become real bouncy , when I brake sometimes its bouncy, also I have noticed that the shocks are very easy to compress.. How long does it take before Rancho shocks wear out.. And is there anything better to go back with.. My brother in law that works for carquest said Bruiser shocks would work just as good at about half the price.. What do you think ???

It sort of depends which Rancho shocks you have... The new Rancho 9000XLs have a life time warranty...

I'd say at 160k miles it's time to replace them. Also, they are probably the RS5000's. The 9000xls are an upgrade and Rancho currently has a special promotion on these or the quickLIFTs where you get a ride adjusting remote free after mail in rebate.

Details here - https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...promotion.html

Additionally the Bilstein Heavy Duty are a fine alternative and a slight bit more in cost than the RS5000s.

Our FX4s came with Rancho 5000s. Mine are worn out as well, I'm going to go with Bilstien 5100s, everyone I have talked to, on this site and elsewhere says their the slickest thing sine sliced bread.
