Leveling kit vs. 6" suspension?

I was just wondering how it was possible that a leveling kit and a 6" suspension could both fit 35" tires? Just a random thought I had Any ideas on how this is possible?

the leveling kit can do it only with stock or close to stock wheels while a 6in. kit can do it with very wide wheels with many different choices in b/s and o/s. short answer would be that it only takes a couple of inches to be able to fit the tires in the wheel wells but takes a couple more to do it without scrubbing or rubbing anything.

Wheel width and backspacing are as important to fitment as the size of the tire. See, a 35x12.50 tire on a 9 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing is gonna stick out 2.5 inches farther than the same tire on the OEM 7.5 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing.
