Newb lift question.

I've been on the performance side for years not caring about lifting but times have changed for me. Reading around the forums I see that a leveling kit for my 06 Screw should be a suspension lift to avoid stressing the joints caused by simple spacer lifts, but I'm having problems deciding on which I should go for. Pro-Comp and Rancho look good, but I can't find a leveling kit from either. Also, after leveling has anyone readjusted their headlights to shine on the road better? Seems like that would be a bit of a problem when using your high beams. My ultimate idea is to run something a bit smaller then 35 inch tires but with a 20 inch rim. Gonna be a semi off road tire of course. So, what do you all think/recommend?

a leveling kit and a suspension lift are 2 different things. if you want to avoid a spacer get the adjustable billsteins for 2" of lift. if you want something smaller than a 35 use a 33. it sounds like you want an aggressive at tire so look at the **** cepek fcII, pro comp extreme at, mickey thompson baja atz, these are my personal favorites.

If you go with a full suspension lift you will want a 35x12.50 tire at least. If you only want 33's, I'd just stick with a leveling kit.

So just the billstein shocks for the front? I thought there were suspension lifts that would level out our trucks.

Any reason you don't want 35s? It's all preference, but a 20" wheel on a 33 A/T wouldn't look right in my opinion. I still wouldn't do 20's on 35's, but at least you'll have a little more sidewall for that aggressive look.

I guess what I should do is start looking for pics or a website where I could put wheels and tires together to see what I like. I'm used to low profile tires, springs, and coilovers for a racing setup/look. Branching out seems to be a bit more difficult then I initially thought.
