For you guys with the leveled 2wd 97-03's

I am wanting to get a 1.5inch daystar leveling kit on my 98 2wd. I have heard that getting a leveling kit means that you will need an alignment. I was wondering if any of you guys that have had the kit put on your truck could tell what im getting myself into. What did it cost you guys to have them installed? And how are the balljoints?

I think most people do the install themselves, its pretty simple. There are write ups on here posted with pics. If you do have it done somewhere you should be able to get it done for ~$100 or less. Anything more than that I would keep looking. If you already have the kit its just labor and most shops can do it in an hour easy.
You will need an alignment to adjust your camber.
Since you are only looking at a 1.5 inch kit you probably woln't notice a difference on the wear on your ball joints.

Okay great. Thanks a lot. I will probably put it on myself. My only issue is with the alignment then. Hopefully that wont cost very much. I dont want to spend a whole lot on it, because I am lifting it as soon as money comes around. I got a pair of 16x10's put on and they rub a little bit on the wheel wells so I need to get away from the rubbing for a little while till it is lifted
