Long Term Leveling Kit

All,

I am considering a 2" leveling kit for my 2009 F150 XLT SCREW 4x4. Just wanted to hear from people who have had the kit long term and what, if any, issues they have had. I would also like to see some pics of people's leveled 2009's. I have looked through the photo gallery and am looking for some newer pics that people may not have posted already.

Thanks for any help and input that any of you can provide.

ive had my 2.5" AS kit on for about 35k miles my only regret is that i didnt put it on the truck right when i got it. i hated the way my truck sat before hand. The truck rides like stock. i have 75k miles on the truck now and need to replace my ball joints, which my leveling kit probably caused to go out slightly faster than if i hadnt put it on. however, ball joints arent that expensive and well worth the cost compared to the advantages of the kit. Get one and you wont regret it.

Make sure you get an off-set leveling kit. I cannot comment on the 2009 model but if it has the same front end as my 2005 FX4, i ended up with a problem where the upper control arm was hitting the coil spring. Cant explain why it didnt hit when i first installed it but after about 25k it started to hit. I ended up swapping it out for a set of Bilsteins 5100's. HOWEVER, the 5100's compress your coil springs more then stock, and although I cannot notice a difference on the highway except for the fact that the truck has a much smoother ride, i find that now when I go over speed bumps the suspension is much more 'aggressive' and the truck seems to 'jump' the speed bump. Im even considered putting the levelling kit back on with the Bilsteins, but set at the 0" lift setting.

...Just my 2 pennies worth.
