Help! Whats missing in bottom pic?

Help! What is missing in the photo? I drive an '01 F-150 SCREW 5.4L EFI King Ranch. Should I be driving my truck w/ this part missing on the left front?

It's a broken swaybar link... won't hurt to drive it... it will sway a little more around corners.

It's an easy fix... replaced both of them on my 98 F-150.

yup sway bar end link, just dont go driving up a winding mountain road. shouldnt be hard or expensive to fix.

how did you find it? just happen to be under the truck? Or did you have some noises?

It's very common for them to break.

Ya just happen to be looking under the truck the other day and noticed it LOL. I didn't notice any noise or change in the weight transfer around turns. Guess I got lucky but i'm sure its been out for several months since my last tire rotation was in march.

What it is is a 6-7 inch long grade 5 bolt that goes thru the sleeve that you still have attached. The bolt attaches the sway bar to the lower control arm, when the arm goes up, there is pressure applyed to the sway bar thru the bolt.

Napa sells both sides with new rubber bushings for less than $20. Go get ya some.
