UCA and LCA Prices?

Trying to find upper control arms and lower control arms for my truck bc im not sure yet whether or not ford is going to cover me. I know last time i brought it in for a new cv boot they were cool and told the insurance company i wasnt lifted. So they might be of help this time or maybe not so does ne body know of a good place to buy the upper and lower control arms for my 05 FX4. As you all know i do have a leveling kit but nothing is sqeaking from the upper and lower control arms the boots are just cracked from time and all the beating ive done to it (Driver UCA : Pass LCA )so im gonna replace both sides while im at it if ford doesnt want too do it.

I bought new Moog UCA's and ball joints from Rockauto.com...best prices by far. The UCA's were $90@ and come with ball joints that are replaceable and come with zerks for servicing. They also have Moog LCA's and run about $220.00 with bj's installed.
As for your spindle question, not sure what you're asking. You're lifted so who's spindles are in there now? If you want to beef it all up, I suggest paying a visit to the Camburg website. They have some of the coolest stuff available and have both lifted spindles and beefier UCAs with the uniball that can handle what you got on your rig now.

After I posted above, I went to the Camburg website and was surprised to learn that they only make their spindles for 2wd applications. It still might be worth a call but why not replace the spindle with one Fabtech, Procomp, etc.? Just curious...

For something more beefy, try JD Fabrication: http://jdfabrication.com/index.php?o...d=13&Itemid=29

about the spindle question i was saying an even longer or bigger i should say than the ones that come with these lifts for the 6" so the angles on the uca's wouldnt be soo bad if you follow what im trying to say

I finally took the time to look at your lift...8" suspension plus 3" body lift?!? If it were me, I would stick with the OEM lca's, upgrade the uca to the Camburg uniball which can handle the angles you're throwing at it, and call it a day. BUT, I don't flog my truck. I think with just the new uca's, you should be able to still have a lot of fun with it.

If you truly beat the snot out of your rig (how the hell do you damage an lca?!?), then I suggest upgrading your suspension to a kit engineered to take the abuse you want to throw at it, like the Rize, Canuck MS, and other kits 8" and bigger. Or even go custom (again, Camburg or JD Fab). In my opinion, with your current set up, you'll just be replacing parts again if you go OEM and beat the crap out of your truck.

Again, this is just me, forming an opinion while trying to use some sense and logic. In any event, post what you decide and take more pics...awesome albums!

Well the lca boot just cracked i have no idea how but it just did even though i have had this leveling kit on for over 2 years now which is not the problem. Its an 05 FX4 and ive been muddin and all tht stuff quite a bit so just after the years it finally cracked so im just gonna replace the uppers while im at it.

Like you said with just new uca's call it a day and still do the same stuff im doing now. I dont beat the crap out of my truck like i guess i made it sound or the way you did lol. I mean all trucks are gonna take a beating one way or another. Its just after time parts are prone to break easier and now 1 uca and 1 lca boot finally cracked so im just replacing them. Its becoming more of a project build now. Long term plans are too do an sas to this truck.

Your rig is no parking lot queen so I assumed the worst (or best depending on how much fun you have!). I really like the Camburg uca's...they're tough and can withstand a lot of articulation. But if bucks are tight, at least go with the Moog uca's. I heard/read/was told that they have slightly more articulation than the OEMs, and they're a little beefier. Plus the BJ's are replaceable. For $89@, you can't go wrong. RockAuto.com has great prices.
