Angry Rear Clank/ Popping SOS!!

PLease Hear me out... i need some help

honestly after months of searching and trying to fix the problem myself shooting in the dark ... i have not found a single answer to my problem and neither can anyone else and im about to go insane but befor i do that let me explain my problem first of all to see if anyone would have an idea...

I have a 05 screw 4x2.... i put 2 inch blocks on it last summer and over the past i think 5-7 months i have had to put up with a four year old truck that sounds like a rusted old truck....
turning and making the suspension articulate creates this popping and creaking or clanking noise from my leaf springs or something..

so five months ago i took it to 4wheelcenter had them take a look at it they deemed it the bushings they replaced them and greased it and it went away... for about a day or two...... ugh... then i just let it "sink in" and the problem persisted when it FELT like it making noise it would usually do it in the sun... then..... now and days i still deal with this problem and the dealer had to damn idea what it was they just seem to avoid it and fourwheelcenter thinks i need aal to help a "tired leaf pack"... pfffttt now i found out that after a car wash and after everything is wet the noise is completely gone...

what could be that needs luberication to stop this???? i know its not between the springs already did that... but my guess is the shock being too tight and or something but idk!

Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated Save a life over here haha

That block would have extended your factory shocks out, but I dont think 2" is enough to require longer shocks. The terms "clank and pop" sound more like a U-Joint starting to go bad, around the yoke, have you checked for loose play there?

If you have a limited slip rear end if there were problems there it might could result in pop/clanking when turning as your inside and outside tires are turning at differant rates. But external lubrications would not affect that, so i doubt thats the case (unless wet tires slip vs turn)LOL......really going out on a limb there.

Does the noise occure if are not driving, say the truck is parked and you jump up and down in the bed? Or does it only occur when driving?

As far as the the car wash goes water is a crapy form of a lubricant for a short period of time so if it is a friction problem that would explain why it went away, hit me with some more details if you can......

I had a 1.5" AAL in my leafpack with the stock 2wd shocks and they would top out over bumps.

These leaf ssprings are bad about creaks and squeaks. Try Seafoam deep creep on the front and rear spring retaining clips. I have to do that about once a month.

well i put longer shocks on it to 4x4 standard...

and well yeah i honesly can push the truck foward and backward like rocking it from the back and i will hear the pop but cannot pinpoint the noise at all ...

i have thought something might be loose or something...

but yeah when i wash the truck its gone and the nxt day bright and shining (since i usually clean the truck in the late afternoon) it will be back to haunt me hahaa

and seafoam seems to make it worse im not gonna lie

Did you torque your ubolts good (or to spec) after installing your new blocks, and did you do them evenly? Any chance its a wheel bearing going bad? I am running out of ideas....

When I say evenly did you make incremental tightnings moving from one bolt to the other. When I helped a buddy put his in (it was on chevy so it could differ) but if you started tightning one side too much at a time it wanted to kinda bind so that the result would not be even pressure across the ubolts and the bottom bracket. I seriously doubt this is your problem.
As far as your wheel beerings go, you have to open your rearend, disconnect your axels, slide them out and get the old bearings pulled and the new ones pressed in.
Here is a great writeup https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...lots-pics.html

Is there any more update about this topic? I am experiencing the same problem. It just started as soon as the weather got a bit warmer. I thought it was my lift kit but I took that back to the shop and they tightened/lubed everything and it is still creaking and popping bad.
