Level kit qustion

I have noticed on here that that alot of people recommend add a leafs on here if you haul a load and have a leveling kit installed. In the old days people used helper springs to help hold the load and this didn't affect the ride when you were unloaded, but if you added a add a leaf in one, it road like a wagon when it was unloaded. Is this not the case on the new trucks or are helper springs not available for these trucks.

Most of the vehicle specific air bag and spring helper kits that I have seen for these trucks are over $200. There may be some generic kits out there for less? An AAL will run you around $100. I did not notice much difference in the ride after installing mine.
