Shock absorber to LCA torque?

I am installing some Bilstein 5100's on the front of my 2006 4X4. The Haynes manual says to torque the bolt connecting the shock to the LCA to 351 ft lbs. How critical is this number to safety and performance? My torque wrench does not go that high. Should I take it to 250 ft lbs which I can measure and then just crank on it a bit more and hope that ball park is OK? Or do I need to get better than that? Maybe I could have them check it when it goes in for alignment since I'm installing the shocks myself? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pat

I did "ball park" without a torque wrench and it hasn't fallen apart yet.
