Lightning Drop

I got a 2003 Lightning, running stock 18" rims on Toyos. What are my options in terms of a very moderate drop? I'm looking for maybe a 1"/2", or something along those lines .. I do plan on upgrading the rims and tires in the future, but may not be as soon as I hope.

Here's a couple of options. Eibach and Ford Racing.

Eibach 1/3

Ford Racing 2/2

I might be able to find you something different if that's not the route you want to go.

I'd go with larger wheels also.

What setup did you use on your Super Crew, Mine is similar to yours except I'm running a 265/60/18 tire. If I drop mine 2/4 do you think the wheels would rub or cause any problems. And I see that you tow with yours as well, any problems. Would you recomend a Air Bag tow assist system ?

I had eibach 2.5" coils which sat at 3" on a supercrew up front
and adjustable 2" or 3" eibach hangers. I kept it at 3" and i had a set of ground force shackles at 1.5" for just a slight rake. I never had helper bags, because i would just swap out the shackles for stock ones and that was enough to tow with.

I am planning on going with a 4/6 on my new red supercrew and plan on doing helper bags.

As for your truck my stock 255-70-16 rubbed at full steering lock and my shorter 255-65-16 rubbed slightly at lock. I think your 265-60-18 will rub at full lock even with a 2/4

99-02 Lightnings come with a 1/2 from the factory and had a 295-45-18 which is much shorter then your 60 series tire

here's a guy with a 3/4 regular cab and he says:

No rubbing. And I had 285 55 18's on it and it did not rub. Now there are 255 55 18 so there is nothing even close to rubbing.
but his offset and backspacing for his wheels is likely different then factory Lightning wheels.

Great replies guys, thanks! I think I'm gonna go with the Eibach, and try to save up for some new rims.
