Gap guards, make your own?

Just wondering if anyone has made their own gap guards. Seems there are lots of mods that have some home grown engineering. I searched, but haven't found anyone that has made their own. Any suggestions?

im making my own now. will post pictures when done as a How to thread. Im using Mud flaps.

On the rear ill be using sheet metal, but i wouldnt recommend it for you cause if the tire stikes it just right it will cut it. I know for a fact my tires arent gonna touch that area.

ive always thought about making some out of the cheap floor mats from wal-mart. they seem to be the same material and one side is usually flat.
