Traction bars on a regular cab short bed???

I can't find anybody that makes them for my 2007 F150. I have wheel hop issues now and worry it may get worse with the lift? Anyone know who can make custom bars or who sells kits for our trucks?

Rize Industries is in the process of making them now. They said they will be making the specifically for the 09's first and test fitting them to the 04-08. If they work then great. If not then they will make them for the 04-08 next. They're gonna run around $1300 though. ther than that I don't know of a company that makes them for our trucks. I have seen a couple people get the superduty ones modified to work though I'm not sure exactly what's involved

I called both, neither make them for the short bed, regular cab pickups.

$1300 is pretty pricey. I guess I will just see if I get axle wrap with the lift kit, if I do, I will look at my avenues then.

there are links to people making some that are decently simple on some offroading sites. They look like a toque arm on an Fbody except with a shackle that they connect to up front

I have them on my regular cab short box and I bought them for ProComp, around $500 for the set with mounting hardware.

I'll need to build some for my trail rig most likely. 1300 bucks is insane for a traction bar. You can build one for a heck of a lot less.

My favorite thread out of these links.

So they worked on yours? They told me the mounting brackets would interfere with some factory brackets because of the shorter wheel base. I want the pro-comp because of price and looks. Could you post some pictures of yours up as well as part numbers? There are two different mounting brackets that I have found, one for extended cab and one for crew cab.

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Greg

Your not lifted and have wheel hop issues? The hell mods (if any) do you have to give you wheel hop?

Not sure, supercharged is about it. I thought it did it with stock tires, it does seem to be a little better with the new rims though. I will wait and see if the other guy posts pictures up of his set up and also, mabye get better with the lift, not sure?

Yeah, stock it didn't spin them hard enough to worry about wheel hop, now it spins good enough they get to hopping some times.

Well, I talked to another guy at Pro-Comp and he said I should be able to make them work with little modification. I ordered them and will see. I do know that I will most likely have to move my exhaust becuase I have it exiting behind the passenger door. I will take some measurements this weekend. The bars are 50" long, the rear mounts between the axle and the leaf (which I will install the plate while installing the new leaf springs. I ordered the bracket for the supercabs since he said they were formed different due to the location where it attaches. He made a good point about the standard cab even having some room behind the rear seat. Can anyone tell me the difference in wheel base between a regular cab short box and a supercab short box? This may help determine the difference in mounting locations so I know where to anticipate the alterations to be.
