New Rear Leaf Spring Install

I have a new set of rear leaf springs from Eibach on order that should be here friday. I was just glancing around under the truck. Doesn't look like it should be too hard of an install except the drivers side front leaf spring bolt. It is up against the gas tank and looks nearly impossible to get out.

Has anyone installed new leaf springs in their truck and had any experience with this bolt in particular? Do you have to take the fuel tank out to get the bolt out? Any other information on installing new leafs would be appreciated too....it'll be the first time i've done a leaf spring install.

i would say, take a screw driver, drive the bolt out to where the head is about a half inch out and cut it off. put a new bolt in.

The tank has to be dropped in order to do it the way Ford has it. I have custom leaf packs in mine and that's what needed to be done

I always take the nut off, drive it out as far as I can and then cut it and repeat until it comes out and then put the new one in the opposite way. I use a cutting torch but a sawzall or grinder will work fine as well.

Just drop the tank, piece of cake as long as the tank is somewhat empty. That's how we (myself and patman03sprcrw) did mine. Stuck both the front bolts in the opposite way when we put the leafs in.
