3inch suspension kit, need help

hi all, i have a 3inch level kit in front and a 3inch block kit in the rear, its a 2005 XLT 4x4, do you think it is a good idea to change out the shocks??? any suggestions would be great thanks. your help is much appreciated

What kind of levleing kit do you have? If it is a spacer external to your coilover (i.e. AutoSpring) then the shocks are not affected. The 3" blocks in the rear will extend your shocks out about an inch which is ok. How many miles are on the truck and are those the original shocks? Does your truck bounce up an down after you hit a hole......?

If you are not having trouble I would save the money and replace them once needed verses doing it just because.

i have a 3inch auto springs and my truck has 36,156 miles. shocks are still good i was just wondering if the ride would be better if i added some 5100 bilsteins

People say the Bilsteins ride better, but I could not tell you first hand. If you plan on ditching the AS kit and only using the 5100's you will lose some ride height.
