Question Shock Info

Just got out of surgery so can't do the work myself so I've got a question or two. I've got a 2007 FX4 and want to put the Bilstein 5100 adjustables up front. Do they require spring compressors and all that or is it a simple unbolt, rebolt operation. I'm unable to get under the truck and look. If it's a major deal, how much (guess) should I expect to pay to get it done? Thanks.

Yes they require a spring compressor. I went with the 2.5 AS spcer so I could do mine myself. Most of the comments I have heard from those who have the bilsteins are very positive though. I also believe you will have to take it to a dealership. From what I have heard most of the other shops don't have a spring compressor that is heavy duty enough to handle the trucks springs once the bilstien is extended.
