Another leaf springs question
Another leaf springs question
My leaf springs on my 98 150 4x4 pass side recently broke. I'm shopping around for replacements, but when checking with the dealer on prices for new springs, they needed the spring code from the decal on the door frame. My spring code happens to be "4C".
If I buy used from a scrap yard, would buying stock springs that don't match the code on my decal make a difference?
Thanks much!

Same problem here "97 F150 XL V6 Extended Cab short box spring code NF" I gave the used parts place my Vin & my Spring Code....and they want me to look at my springs and tell them how many leafs in each one? is this place going by my spring code or by sight? or both?
I think as long as both match left and right it doesnt matter too much, just try and get some springs from a V8, the V8s have 3 leafs + overload, where the V6s have 2 leafs + OL spring
with an older, higher mileage truck like that i'd probably get some new Ubolts for reassembly

Ok, I'm gonna thread jack a little, but while people are looking at this...
I have a 99 2wd 4.6 with the 7.5" fabtech kit. It comes with 4-5" blocks for the rear. I'd really like to buy a new leaf pack that sits at my ride height and gets rid of the blocks. Anybody know where I could find those?
