Lift block question!

After the leveling kit was installed i bulldog. I cant decide what to do. I searched and found what others have done, but not really what would be the best . I only need an inch in the back. Blocks, AAL,. Airbags? And is there an advantage to either one?

you could either get a 3" block or a 1" aal, i couldn't really tell ya what would be better, hell i got a 6" block with a 2" aal, i think they say the aal makes it a little stiffer in the back, hope that helps ya any

Yah ive heard that. I also was told that the AAL could give you more or less lift then what you are looking for. The block seems to give the exact amount, but i dont want to screw up anything. I know someone has some experience with them.

I read on another post that if you planned on towing that you should consider the AAL instead of the block. Is this a personal preference? Whats the theory behind this?

The block does nothing more than increase the distance between your leaf springs and your axle to achieve lift. Your truck already has 2 inch blocks in it from the factory.

The leaf spring will add hight one due to its thinkness it will also make the rear suspension firmer, so once you add weight to the rear it will not squat as bad.

So if you do an ample amount of hauling/towing its better to add a leaf so your truck does not squat as bad, causing the front to be way high under a load. Hope this helps.

Will the additional weight from a cab high camper shell cause the rear to squat? I currently have a 2" leveling kit on the front of my 08 supercrew 4X4 and I am looking into buying a camper shell. I was wondering if I would need the 3" blocks in the rear too?

another option you may want to consider, is simply having the existing leaf's re-arched. many good shops can do that which will give you the lift you want, but maintain a close to factory ride.
