PC Lift?

I see PC lifts everywhere, do they make them for macbooks?

okay, now beyond that to the actual question---> I see a lot of Pro Comp 6" on 04-08 Black F150 Super Crews like mine, I really think they look awesome from the side and the back, but I don't really like them from the front. I can't stand that crossmember... My teammates Silverado has a 6" Pro Comp and it has a very similar if not the same set up for the crossmember, but it looks good on his truck... I just don't like it on the F150s... I don't really need a skid plate for what I do, but could I make one out of diamond plate or something and mount it under there just to hide the crossmember? I was all but ready to do the PC 6", but I don't like the looks from the front.

you should get skid plate and get it painted black, cause i think they come in grey, i wouldn't diamond plate, that would look weird imo

just get the skid plate. Its not ever 200, i think it was like 120 bucks and it bolts right on. It enhances the look of the truck and then you dont have to mess around with buying dimaond plate, cutting, measuring, lining up holes, etc.

ill make you a deal. get the pro-comp send me a $100 and ill steal fx4 for lifes 79

in all seriousness tho, you can fab up something to cover it, but add the $120 to the total and you might be close to the cost of the fabtech. not sure on current prices anymore.

well on ebay I found the Fabtech with DirtLogic Coilovers for $2101 + $85 shipping.... Also on ebay was the PC Basic 6" for $1368 with free shipping... don't know if I should wait and spend the extra grand... I could have the PC bought, shipped and installed for as much as the Fabtech... plus $200 I guess for the skid plate

oh yeah, I got quoted the other day for install - $600 - $700 depending on how long it took them, and then $50 for mount and balance if they put on the rims and tires as well - I will probably order a tire/wheel package PC 1079s wrapped with BFG AT 315/70/17s

Here's my old 04 SCrew with the ProComp 6", it also has a 3" BL with 37's.

I didn't care to much for the crossmember either but it was there.

Just decided and buy a damn lift already man......

But seriously, I know you can get the basic Fabtech for somewhere around $1800 shipped if you find the right sale. If you like the Pro Comp though just do what you said and get the skid plate.

Just get it over with already!

just get the pro-comp if money is an issue. you can always design or have someone design a skid plate or a cover to go over the subframe back to the old control arm bolts that looks fancier.
