Spindle Lift

I have a 2002 F150 Crew Cab 2wd that I am going to be getting a spindle lift, rear blocks, and a leveling kit for. Is it hard to install the spindle lift? Should I get new shocks? Which ones?

Thanks

You don't have to get new shocks but upgrading shocks is always a good idea.

install guide. heres the exact process for the spindles. i've done the spacer myself and it was a piece of cake. 2 hrs tops. the only tricky part is you have to bang on the upper ball joint until it comes loose. that thing took forever! i was planning on getting a spindle lift and installing myself, just gotta save up some cash. lol.

but anyways, both installs seem pretty simple. just make sure you get it re-aligned when you're done.

just curious why maybe they dont make a spindel lift for the new style f150's? Is there anything that terribly different on them that no one makes one?

It's a completely different suspension and steering system on the 04-09's.

I just put a 5" RCD lift on my 00 2wd which includes new spindles, shocks, and blocks. We used a lift, and it took us about 3 hours to install the whole thing. Pretty easy. I already had the leveling kit in the truck (took about 45 minutes) so I didn't have to take the springs out this time, just popped off the old spindle and bolted in the new one. Made it really easy, but if you are doing the leveling kit at the same time, I would give yourself some more time.
