Add a Leaf

I'm looking to add a 1 to 1.5 inch add a leaf to my 05 4x4 to help with towing. Anybody out there have an advice?
Thanks in advance

Easy install, much better than putting in a taller block. Good choice

I'd personally go with a longer leaf add a leaf setup vs a smaller one. The smaller guys ride a little bit more stiff.

Pro-comp makes a nice cheap add-a-leaf for our trucks. The lift is about 2-1.5 inches and it is the longest style leaf I have seen. The install is a PITA though because you have to bend the c-clips on the leafs open to install these guys.

I installed the Pro-comp add a leaf on my truck a few weeks ago, install was a breeze. I just used a big pair of pliers, a hammer and a big flat head screwdriver to pry the c-clips off of the stock leafs. The new brackets that come with the pro-comp leafs are a much better idea I think. Took me about 2 hours to finish the job.

I put on the AutoSpring 1.5-2" aal. It was dead center of the two at raising the rear 1.75". Plus they claim I believe 900lbs of additional pay load. It didn't seem to ride any stiffer until I put on the BFG's. I put on both sides in my driveway in the evening in a little over an hour. They must be the shorter style because I didn't have to mess with the c clips. I can't remember how much they cost, around $100^ some bucks I think.
