Model vs Leveling Kit

Model vs Leveling Kit
I have read through a lot of threads concerning what leveling kit to get with mixed results. I hear many people saying it depends on the model of your truck.
I have a 2008 Lariat 4x4 SCREW with the 5.4 I measured front vs rear and came up with exactly 3'' different. I see where everyone says the 2.5'' AS will get you 3 inches so thats what I ordered.
I have not recieved it yet, but in the mean time have read more threads where some people say 2.5 is perfect some say its too much. Can anyone with the exact model I have that has installed either a 2'' or 2.5'' AS let me know the results? If 2.5'' turns out to be too much I would like to trade it for a 2'' and only do the install once.
Thanks!

I have a 2006 Scab and I used a 2 1/2" AS. The front was about 3/4" higher than the back. Sometimes I noticed, sometimes I didnt. I did end up putting a 3" block in the back, so the problem is now gone.
Originally I was running the Rancho Quick lifts, I think I had them set to just around 2" maybe 2 1/8"or something. The truck did sit level with those, but one went bad.
I have read that the 2004-2005 had an extra leaf, and thats why the 2 1/2" levels them out. But it is different for every truck I think.

I know the "more" syndrome you mentioned. I will continue to see what people say, maybe I can hear from somone with my exact year and model that I have and what thier results were. In the end if I am still unsure I will just install the 2.5'' that I ordered. If its too high I will add a leaf. Plan on putting 35'' on it anyway.

After reading what you guys had to say the idea poped into my head, why dont I just lift the front of my truck with a floor jack to get a rough idea of what it would look like after installing the 2.5 AS leveling kit.
From what I have read the 2.5 will provide around 3'' of lift, so I took a measurement at the stock stance placed floor jack under the front center of my truck and lifted until I was three inches higher on the same measurement.
It did indeed sit a little higher in the front than the rear, but when I stepped back to look at it, I liked it. I am going to stick with the 2.5" AS if anyone is interested I will post pics, let me know.....
