body lift on top of leveling kit???

Hey y'all, i hav an 06 with a 3" leveling kit sittin on stock wheels and tires. i'm saving up to get 35X12.50 nitto mud terrains and would prefer not to have to trim at all, so my solution is a 3" body lift on top of the leveling kit. I'm not sure how good that would look or if it would be functional off road(blocks fallin out and what not) i just know its fairly cheap!! lemme know what y'all think. If anyone has the same setup or similar i wouldnt mind takin a peek just to solidify my decision

Here is mine, I just got it in though and haven't drove it because of the engine change yet. I also don't have the bumpers raised, I am contemplating making bumpers for it. It takes some work but would not be to bad, I already had the body off so mine was easier. I am also using electric fans, so no need to modify the shroud. Just make sure you snug the cab bolts, don't overtighten them. And use fillers to cover the gap. I am sure there are others out there with better pics of their trucks!! I have a Superlift 5" and 3" body on it, and run 315-75-16's, I ran them without the body lift and had some fender rub when turning and bottoming out at the same time.

Hope this helps some ,

Bryan

I'd take the leveler out and opt for a 6" suspension lift instead of the bl. The 3" spacer is causing a lot of ware on your ball joints and will cost you in the long run. The bl is cheap in cost to aquire but costly in install fees and/or frustration/time when doing it yourself. Typically a bl will run you about $1k to install on the 04-08's You could find a cheaper 6" suspension lift for around $1200 and install it yourself easier than you could the bl. Or pay someone $500 or so to install it. Either way, you're only going to spend a few hundred more $$ for something that will be a lot better for your truck.

That being said, the bl/leveler combo will look fine and won't fall apart offroad. A few people use it on this site if my memory serves me correctly. It isn't as good as a suspension lift though and like I said, it is causing undue strain on your ball joints.

A body lift would be great. However, they are a pain to install on the 04-08 trucks. If you can do it yourself, it's a great option. If you are gonna have to pay someone to install it, you might as well get a 6 inch suspension lift.

i've told myself for years i was going to just break down and drop 2500 bucks for a 6" lift and 35's but i just never do it, it takes too long 2 get that much money and im compulsive!! However, i think, as y'all stated, the 6" suspension is the best all around way to go, i'm thinkin fabtech basic on 35" toyos?? Also, i'm considering powdercoatin my stock wheels black for ****s and giggles, what do y'all think?? THANKS
