Lift question

Hey guys, I have a question about truck lifts. I've never been in a lifted truck, but I love the look and want to lift my truck and do a little off-roading for fun. I just want to know what it feels like to drive one. Is the ride comfortable, does it feel like it's going to tip over when making turns, or driving at high speeds? Just wanted to know before I went ahead and did it.

Mine rides a little stiffer than stock and I sit a little higher, but that is my preference. I could adjust the shocks for a softer ride if I wanted, but I like it where I have it. Get nice shocks and tires and the ride quality shouldn't change much. Also, to me, it feels just as stable going around corners as it did before. Go for the lift, you won't regret it!

Good shocks and wide enough wheels and tires and it'll drive like a dream even on corners

Mine rides a little stiffer then stock. But handles about the same as when it was stock. What year is your truck? It sits a little higher but is wider so it handles the same in my opinion.

Honestly, ride quality went up when i installed my lift. Its slightly (VERY slightly) stiffer ride than stock, but the shocks are much better and the rear end doesn't hop around as much. I sit a little higher, and the truck lost a little power. Since the big tires give it a wider stance, it never feels like its going to tip over anymore than stock (although if you went with a really big lift it would be different). Mine is a 6" lift.

The only really dramatic difference is the whine of the tires at highway speeds and feeling the bumps of the Mud Terrains when coming to a stop...
