Need advice on who to do an install
OK, after much laboring on finding a fabtech 6" suspension lift for my 2000 flareside, I can get one from 4 wheel parts for $1600.00
delivered to my local Raleigh store. I think that is a very good deal!
Here is my question- since I can get it delivered there, can I trust them for the install?? A gear shop in the area, that has a good reputation said that they will do it for $625.00. I don't know what 4-wheel parts wants, but i have a feeling they would probably match that price.
Can I trust them?
Do the techs there just kind of come and go, or are they solid mechanics?
It certainly would be the easiest thing to let them do the install, but I am willing to forgo easy for RIGHT the first time!
Has anyone got a suspension lift installed by 4-wheel parts? Thanks guys.

I dont see why you cant have it done there? Any and everyplace will have a few mechanics that just come and go and they will also have some that are good solid mechanics. I'm sure they do lifts all the time and your truck would be no different to them. Easiest way to get a top quality job is to do it yourself though.
4WP is one of the crappiest companies around. either install it yourself, or pay the gear shop to do it. they are asking a fair price. install isn't going to be cheap, it is like a 15 hour job to do it right.
