Question 3" spindle lift???

I am thinking of putting a 3" spindle lift on my 2002 f150 2wd crew cab, does that lift the front and back? How hard is it to install? Can I also add a 2" coilspring spacers? Could I do this myself?

Thanks

Spindles generally come by themselves, some come with a 1" block to even it out. Yes you can add the coil spacer to it also with out a problem. You will want to go with about a 3" block out back to level it out if you do. Had that exact setup on my old truck with 33" tires.

Your old truck is nice. So you basiclly have a 5" lift? Are coil spacers and a leveling kit the same thing?

Thanks

Thanks, yes the leveling kit and the coil spacers are the same thing. I eventually added V8 coil springs since my truck was a V6 which gave me another inch on top of that, so I had around 6-6.5" of lift.

Will new coil spring give me more lift or just a better ride? And what about shocks?

Yes, the coilsprings will give you a lift, but most are stiffer than stock. I'm not sure if they will require new shocks, but they may.

What size tires can I fit with with the spindles and leveling kit? 33's?

Like wandell said, the coil springs will give you lift (mainly if your a v6 and use v8 springs). But the ride will be considerably stiffer. Personally I didnt mind the stiffness, but alot of people like a smooth cadilac like ride.

With just the spacers and spindle I would go 33"'s. With my setup I still had to do a little trimming here and there but that was mainly because of my wheels.

I am thinking of this same spindle and spacer lift. i have a 99 2wd small V8 extra cab. my question is do i need new rims, i have a negative offset of 5 1/2 in back spacing on 20" wheels. i know that Fabtech says Wheels must not have more than 4-5/8" of back space. (i take that as meaning stick out more and measuring less back with a pos offset) i believe this is so the upper control arm does not rub on the wheel, that is true for a 17" wheel but will my 20's clear? i want new rims (these where on the truck when it had some street tires 305/50's) but not right now if i can just lift it first.

sorry to hack this thread Westcoast but it seemed better then asking the same question in a new thread. thanks guys, this is my first post and i am sure Wandell will have an answer for me

I'd guess that your wheels will work.

Doetsch Spindle 3.5 inches
3 inch body
2.5 inch coil spacer
18" wheels
325/65/18 nittos 35.5"
You can use stock wheels on these spindles.

Fairly easy to install all of these, no welding no real cutting. Slight trimming of new spindle will be needed and denoted as such in the manual

Mine is
