tire wear

Both front tires are feathering on the outside treads. The tires are fairly new. Any thoughts.

Yes. Bad alignment. Get it checked.

Either that or your air pressure is too low.

You have a bad alignment , toe is in or out too much.

2000 f-150 4x4 84,000mi. I bought new tires before winter. I had the tire shop run an alignment, they showed me it is still within specs. Its both front tires same area. Outside treads, not middle or inside. I'm getting a lot of clunking sounds, kinda thinking the ball joints are going also. Also vibration when braking. Plan on replacing front brakes and rotors soon. Winter is tough on the roads here in upstate NY, so an alignment could be the problem. Thanks I will keep you informed
