89 f150

Hello Everone,

I have a 89 150 with a 2inch suspension lift. Currently running 275 R16's. I want to move up to a 35inch by 12.50 size tire or maybee something a little bigger ie 37inch. Will they fit and what width rim would i need.

Thanks to all

W

The 275s you have now are about 32.4 inches in diameter, to fit 37s you will have to put on a bigger lift kit or take off your quarter panels, if you get the lift it will be for the ford TTB front suspension which is a complete joke. The only kind of front suspension that can handle 37s is a D60 or D44 solid axle with chromoly shafts so man if you want something that big i would look into the solid axle swap or a new truck. good luck. and you will want wheels that are no less than 12 inches wide

Minumum for 35s is a 4 inch suspension lift for the TTB 1/2 ton trucks. Anything above 35s and you should really start considering an SAS, especialy if the truck sees any trail use.

For the least amount of rubbing use a 15x8 inch wheel.
