3" BL with Leveling Kit, any problems/complications?

Hey all,

I am wanting to put a 3" body lift on my truck so I can run 35's. Has anyone that has done this thrown in a leveling kit as well? What are the benefits and what are the problems, if any?

Thanks and post pictures if you have any of a 2007 or similar FX4 SuperCrew

if you dont put a leveling kit , you ll still have the factory rake.

i ve had my BL for about 8 months now, with no problems, i also have 2.5 leveling kit.

Anyy benefits of keeping the factory rake? Is it all for hauling and towing or something else?

If all you're considering all of this because you want to put 35's on, just know that you don't need the BL in order to fit them. You can use 35's on oem wheels or aftermarkets w/similar specs. I've done it with a 2" leveler on an 08 FX4. The 2 1/2 spacer would give you a better fittment but will put the front higher than the rear. All you have to do to fix that is install a 3" block instead of the oem 2" or throw on an AAL. The AAl will give you better payload too.

I have a Pro Comp AAL for sale if your interested. $75+ shipping.

The BL will cost a decent amount to install as they are PITA from what most everyone says.

like everyone has said 35's will fit with a 2" kit. if your wanting the height of a BL and 2" kit=5" and are not going to install yourself your looking at around $1200 atleast for both those installed from what i have heard on prices. plus you need gap guards. you can get a a pro comp 6" kit installed for about $1800

I've looked at doing the same thing because it seemed like the cheaper route but in the long run I dont think its worth $400 - $500 bucks you save. I've also heard that they are a PITA?

What do you think IDNC???

mayb over in texas you can get it for that price , but over here in NJ, shop prices are crazy. they wanted $3000 installed for BDS stage 1 with the spacer.

overall , im happy with my body lift, but i plan on putting a suspension lift too

but if i were to do it again , i would just go with the Pro-comp.

OP, if you just wanna run 35's , i would just use a leveling kit on some aftermarket rims with specs close to stock
