Rear blocks for lift kits...

I hope someone can explain this for me as I cannot figure it out. I have a 4" rancho kit waiting to be installed. I am looking at possibly adding another inch or two to the kit. I know the front I could add a leveling kit but as for the rear, I was thinking of using a block kit from a 6" kit but all the ones I see only add up to what the rancho kit comes with? For example, the rancho kit requires removing the stock 2" block and put in the 4.5" block. The pro-comp 6" kit requires adding a 2.5" block with the factory 2" block thus only giving the same 4.5" rear lift. So how does the 6" kit actually give 6" and the rancho only 4" if the rears are lifted the same height? Also, If I just add the rancho block to my stock block, where could I get new u-bolts with the proper length?

pro comp makes a 5.5" lift block, you would have to get longer u bolts made up

check locally for shops that bend new u-bolts. they charge more reasonably than lift kit manufacturers will, and chances are the rod they use to make the bolts will be better, too.

That's b/c with a Ranco lift your truck will sit level. With a procomp the rear sags. I had that problem with mine. Procomps lift will lift the front 6 and the back 3.

The rear doesn't sag in the pro comp, it's just lower for the pre runner look. I suggest getting you springs re-arched to get the ride height you want.
