I had 35x12.5x17 tires on my 17x9 with 5 inches of BS wheels and they rubbed in the front. I put them on 17x8 with 5 1/2 inches of BS and they clear easily. The more you stick out in the front the more chances to rub with the taller tires.

my rims are 17x8 so i guess they will fit?

how does backspacing work? if you have less backspacing the tire tucks in more? and if you have more backspacing the wheel sticks out more?

No. A 35x12.50 is not gonna fit with those wheels. You can fit 33x12.50's with those.
The more backspacing you have, the more the tire will tuck in.

Because they stick out to far. They will rub.

Even with a leveling kit and body lift, my 35'' rub sometime...

I have the same wheel PawPaw use to have and there's no way you can fit 35'' with a 17x9 with 5'' back spacing.

His wheel are 1'' shorter (17x8) but stick out .5'' farther (4.5'' back spacing) then mine. So they will stick out .5'' less then my setup. No way to fit 35'' with those wheel.

But that's just my opinion and what i beleive is right.

They will fit if you use an 8 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of bs. That is what Paw Paw is running.
