Limey wants to change his yank!

Fed up with my 22" wheels
305 45 22 on american racing rims which have about 3 flakes of chrome left on them!
Never seen a lifted f-150 in the UK (sure they are about just never seen one) so basically was wondering what to do?
Advice from some hard core mud bogging sky high nuts would be appreciated
Now the problem we have in the UK is fuel is more expensive than platinum! so dont wish to decrease my already appaling MPG
So was thinking of putting some 18" or 20" wheels with biggar sidewalls with splendid grip for some offroad fun (lots of ickle landy's all over the place that i'd love to have a go at in our cute ickle hills here in Blighty)
If im right my 22" equate to around 33" overall (aspect ratio 283 wheel 842 = 33 approx is this correct?) but i dont have a local dealer to pop to if any parts start to premature wear out so would like to stay away from the stratosphere and odd drive shaft angles etc
If i read correct on here i can put a levelling kit onto my truck which again i understand to mean lift the front to match the rear?
Whats the highest you can go just lifting the standard suspension in its OEM pivot location? and whats the biggest wheel tyre combo to match this?
I dont know much lots of conflicting advice all over the site
I have read a lot
Cant see the wood for the trees
Now become lazy hoping someone will give me all the answers!!!

Oh I have a 2004/5? XLT 5.4 4x4 with an engine that sounds like a tugboat running on mud!

Pretty sure you can just thow some 33's on there w/out lifting or leveling. That would save you the trouble of throwing off your angles and having to replace any prematurely worn parts.

if you go with a leveling kit you can run a 33 inch mud tire. thay is what i have now but im about to go alot bigger. 33's can give you some nice offroad fun and still pretty good on petrol

was just over there, henfield west sussex, south of crawley. petrol was 5 pound a liter and the exchange rate was 2.00. thats $10 a liter. had a great time and ready to go back gas prices where i live is around $1.75 a GALLON. WORKS OUT TO ABOUT A POUND A GALLON. so i know what you mean by not wanted bad fuel mileage.

post a pic of your truck. is it left side drive?

33's will fit with or without a leveling kit. 35's will fit with a leveling kit, depending on the wheels you choose. Wheels need to be as close to stock wheel specs as possible to fit 35's. Yes, a leveling kit lifts the front end even with the rear, usually 2 or 2.5". Don't use a leveling kit taller than 2.5", it's not good for your suspension. I think that covers it all?

He already has 33's. A 305/45-22 tire is essentially a 33x12.50-22.
