add a leaf, how does it ride?

Looking at adding a Pro-comp add a leaf to the rear of my 4x4. I plan on cranking torsion bars to lift the front, getting it aligned, then lifting the rear with the aal. I'm wondering how much that extra leaf affects ride. I run empty all the time. I'm not looking for hauling capacity as much as I am looking for a cheap way to get just a little lift. What do you guys think?

there are short aals and long aals long has a better ride but harder installation and short is a little rougher and easy install i have a long style pro comp and it didnt change the ride to much, barely noticeable but this was on a 06

I have the 1.5 - 2" aal from AS. they claim an additional 900lbs or so and the ride is just barely rougher than stock, barely. The thing that made the truck ride stiffer was the bfgs

I really don't think you would notice the difference in ride quality. The back is suppose to be stiffer, but I couldn't tell.

I could tell the difference on mine. It is stiffer no doubt. You can really feel it on bumps. Would I install it again knowing this? For sure.

to give you an idea on the load cap. i had carried 3000 lbs of sand in the bed of mine and it did great. of course it didnt handle it like an f350 dually would but it did it with no troubles
