Cranking Torsion bars?

I want to crank the torsion keys on my truck but im not sure how much to go. What is the ratio of how much thread:lift? Also, do i spin the thread in to turn the keys up? Should i jack the truck up and just spin a couple threads and see what it does or is there a better way? Thanks.

heres a step by step:

1. Jack the front end off the ground
2. place jackstands
3. spray some PB Blaster on the adjustment bolts
4. Mark the head of the bolt so you can accurately count the number of turns
5. Make 3 equal turns on each side
6. drop the truck down
7. check ride heigth, see if you like it. If not jack it back up and do 2 more turns each.
8. When you are happy, go get the truck aligned.

And yes you tighten the bolt to raise the front of the truck
