IMO its goofy..... if anything, the truck needs to be higher in the rear by about 1". thats why i bought airbags for mine.... since "most" lifts out there actually leave the front higher than the rear without some compensation.

i have a AAL to get mine level. the rear is now about a 1/4"-1/2" high so im gonna lift the front another inch eventually unless the AAL sag and get level again. really wish i could find a half inch spacer for my coils or a adjustable shock w/ a 1/2" setting.

this past weekend i had about a 800lb motor and some parts in my bed. the rear still didnt sit as low as my truck did before the AAL so i was happy and it hauled it really well

well, i'm running 6'' atlas leaf springs in the rear, w/ no blocks. i certainly wouldn't call that cheaping out on the rear. i have the stock 2'' blocks still, and may put them back on at some point.

i'm running a 6'' fabtech system up front right now as well.

i will agree though that bulldog trucks look funny towing heavy loads.

i'm not trying to disagree or but heads w/ you or anything, MT. you're one of the people on here who's posts i look forward to reading.

I'm just bustin ***** man. I really don't care either way. If you like it, DO IT. I will rag on ya about it, just like if ya bought a Chevy or something. Just all in good fun. Nothing meant by it, ya know ?

BTW, your rear end is sagging again !

yeah, i didn't have u-bolts long enough at the time to accommodate the 6'' atlas springs and the stock block when i installed the lift.

i bought some new u-bolts though, so one of these days, i'll reinstall the oem blocks to get a more even stance. personally, i hate the stock stance of the front end being so low, i really prefer a dead-level stance.

they say it gives better peformance when its lower in the back. I'm guessing the wind pushes it up to make it lighter and gives better mpg, thats what i think.

It must be a real PIA getting those headlights aimed down so far. Either that, or they just blind everyone.

I don't know about that. The wind still gets under it... drags. I dunno though, I wouldn't think it helps much at all.

Just my opinion anyways.

and yes, I would think it affects towing. Your truck isn't designed to be sagging in the rear heavily while towing.
This looks ridiculous. I'm from Hawaii and never saw this before. I thought there must be a law that requires lower rear ends in lifted trucks or were too poor to lift the rear.

It serves no utility. The whole reason stock trucks have higher rear ends is for carrying loads. A trucks purpose is its capacity to carry loads, tow, and off road. Why would anyone want their truck to look like a 'bulldog' and decrease utility is beyond me? A low rider truck makes more sense to me; converting a truck to a car with high torque.

Thanks for the input! I've spent the past five years worried about how you felt on this.
