Project 1ton150 Here We Go
I assusme you've re-bled the fronts?
We had one of our trucks that had one brake hose swelled shut. Once you applied brakes it wouldn't release that caliper. Could your new line be bad? Might want to try swapping the front lines.
It might also be a caliper problem, it could be sticking. Just 'cuz the parts are new doesn't mean they're good!

Trimble, I've been looking at the 4bt's and was wondering what made you decide to go with that motor? The ones I've found are only like 105 hp...I know they have kind of alot of torqe (250 or so?) but that hp number just seems like it'd be too low to really move anything. Are you planning to beef it up some?
Could be a couple different things. Either the rubber hose is collapsing. Inside the rubber hose, can collapse, giving symptoms like what your describing. If you tap the brake, it locks up right ? If you tap them again does it release ?
Personally, I am leaning towards a bad caliper. ,Are they new ? If so, send it back and exchange. If not, time to look for some new ones I think. Check the rubber hose lines first, its cheaper !
Hardlines can't cause this issue and most likely aren't the issue. Rarely are.

I dont have rubber lines now. I replaced them with braided lines. But i geuss one could be defective???
The Calipers are NEW i have another new set to try aswell. Im kinda leaning towards a possible kink in the hard line.
now i have a whole NEW set of problems, the steering is shot. Setup wont work. If anyone is familiar with dodge axles you will know they are coil sprung, thus not having any options for crossover steering. So now my crossover is kinda worthless. Its starting out below the springs when its supposed to start about the springs and run upward to the pitman arm. (pitman arm is also a problem). I discussed these problems with a different fabricator and it seems like the Dodge axles are the biggest problem. So now im stuck, either run a Z-bar or full hydro. Z-bars scare the crap out of me. Full hydro is expensive but ALOT safer. So now the question were can i get a respectable hydro setup for a reasonable price.
Only other way to fix this problem would be to find someone that is confident and competent to weld on CAST and weld me a new bracket on the hub for crossover steering. But this might be pricey and not sure how strong it is. All i know is you have to heat the cast up to red hot, then weld on it and cool it SLOWLY. normally by sand or lime?
hey bud thanks for the answer anyway, very much appreciated

thats sweet. a f-150 with a little attitude. are you workin on some sway bars and like some traction bar set ups... it'll stop that body roll and the power to the ground is a huge diff. i love it those tires will deff. work for now but i think some 44's will be spot on
