Considering Bilstein and Wheels

First I would like to say thanks for the great threads. I am new to this sight and like most here, I like to do research before making modifications to my vehicles. This site has provided me with the information to know what I am talking about, or at least sound like it, when talking with the locals about options and costs. With that said I do have a couple questions.

First I have an 08 Screw 2wd. It is used mostly for city driving, but I do carry and tow with it, mostly moving people who can't make up their minds where to live. The first modification is level it (up). I am still on the fence as to the how, but I am leaning more towards the Bilsteins because they sound like they improve handling while raising the front end. Another consideration is longevity. With the Bilsteins, I shouldn't have to replace struts in the future and I get the lift. But, before I spend the extra few hundred dollars after price difference and labor to install, are the advantages of this over the AS 2" spacer that significant. From what I read, owners of both are very pleased with their setups.

Wheels and tires will be next. I am planning on getting a set of Ballistic Wizards wrapped in either Cooper Zeon LTZ or Terra grapplers 305/55/20. The rims measurements are 20 X 9, backspacing 6.18, offset 30mm and overall diameter 33.2". Do any of you know if these will these rub at all and how far they will stick out? If I did the math right, they should stick out .82" (new width 9- stock width 7.5= 1.5" new bs 6.18 - stock bs 5.5=.68; 1.5-6.8=.82) but that don't seem right.

Thanks again for all the help you have already provided. I look forward to learning and the experience.

Your thoughts on the wheel are correct. They will stick out about an inch farther. They will be a tight fit with 33's and a leveling kit or Bilstiens, but I think they will fit.

Thanks for the reply Wandell. If i went with a wheel with lower width (8.5") and backspacing (6") would that be a better fit? I seen MB yumas on another members truck and they look great and if they fit better I would rather have those. His is a 4wd though with 2.5 AS lift. I would like to get the meatest tire i can but dont want to risk rubbing. Would it be wiser to go with 285/50? Thanks again.

I haven't seen an all terrin 285/50-20, but I have seen a few 305/50-20 at's (32x12.50).
And yes, the narrower wheel would lessen your chance of rubbing.
