I have a quick question about bumping a 6" pro comp up to 8 inches

If I have a Pro Comp Stage 1 6" lift kit and want to bump it up to 8 inches. Would getting bilsteins up front on the 2" setting work to get the front to 8 inches? Also, then what would be the easiest way to get the back up to be level again? a 2" block or an add a leaf? not too worried about ride quality, I don't ever tow anything, maybe haul stuff in the bed every now and then, but thats it.

Thanks,
David

Yes, that will work. As for the rear, it will depend on how your rear is lifted now. If it just has a larger block, add an add-a-leaf. If it has an AAL now, add a taller lift block.

Nah, I'm just curious in case I ever want to do that. I test drove an '06 F150 from woodhouse that was lifted, but it was about 5 grand too much. Well now I wish I woulda just bought that one, but it's fun being able to add your own little touch to your own truck instead of buying one with it all done. Unless you like how everything is.

This truck I test drove had 17" pro comp rims and 35x12.50 **** Cepek mud country's. I'm guessing it was just a pro comp 6" lift, but I cant tell. Heres a picture of it....

This truck was listed at $21,900 and only had like 50 some thousand miles on it. It was clean!!

look at my last couple threads and pictures i just went from a 6" lift to a 8" with bilsteins and pro comp add a leaf and it cleared 37x13.50R17 toyo open countries with my rims 4.53 backspacing and the ride is surprisingly better than before except going over speed bumps they are pretty harsh and no rubbing issue except when im backing up with the wheels cut all the way but very minor but if i were u i wouldnt go up to 8"s of lift unless you go with 37s

get the bilsteins and bump it up to 8 with 37's . you'll be glad you did.

for the rear, i think pro-comp or fabtech make a 5 or 5.5 inch block , you could go with that and an AAL

only problem bumping it up to 37's is, you would prolly have to think about gears soon.

I have the procomp stage 1 with a 2.5" spacer and an AAL. With just the procomp lift my back was lower then my front so the AAL will lift your truck 3-4 inches. Mine did anyway. I have pic's of before and after.
