Lift Help: First Truck

I am 16 y/o and just got my first truck last May, A black 2008 Texas Edition F150, and I have a lot of questions on many different subjects but as of now I am focused on a lift.

Mainly I want to know:

What type of lift I should get as well as size ( 6" or 8")?
Tire brand and size?
Wheels?
Guestimated price?

I am stating the obvious but keep in mind I want it to look nice, and I know wheels and whatnot is personal preference but just shoot me some ideas.

This Actually isn't a pic of my truck but looks the same except my truck is black. It's night so I cant get a pic of my truck, but if you want ill put some up tommorow.

First off, welcome to the threads..... and second, you need to do some searches !! spend some time, and do all of your homework. there are just way too many options to list them all. it depends on your needs (daily driver/offroader/road queen/etc, etc.). also, how much is your budget? there are a ton of 150's running a 6" lift with 35's. if you go larger, then plan on re-gearing as well, which adds about another 600-800 per axle. you can get cheaper lifts, or you get get more expensive lifts. you can also get a combo of suspension, and body lifts.

good luck with whatever you choose, and always post pics back.

Welcome to the site! Most people are happy with a 6 inch lift and 35's. Remember, the taller you go, the more it costs. Also, is your truck 4x4 or 4x2?

Here is a PIC of my old 2004 FX4 SCrew that had a 6" Suspension lift, 3" Body lift and
37's. This PIC may actually be one with my old 35's prior to the 37's.

UPDATED: Found the PICs with the 6" + 3" BL......

Nice PIC

Pretty Face

Next to Stock Cherokee

thanks so far guys, btw to answer your questions wandell, my budget is just going to depend on what I want to do really, not throwing all my money into this but I want to make it look good, and I am more of a daily driver but occasionally i'll take it up to the property to do some off-roading
