no problem. i love my job. i am a mechanic for the Army. I have a few more things to install and it will be done for now. I have to install my custom spare tire mounts, fabbed optima battery bracket, wolf whistle/ horn, and my bedliner, then i have to remove the factory spare, and trailer hitch. oh yeah the truck drags its factory trailer hitch going into driveways. During my next deployment i will be buying a supercharger, longtubes, cams, and a custom tune.

grocery getter

after a bunch of false starts, and stupid questions, i finally got around to droppin the grocery getter. shes an 04 stx with the baby 8 in it. i used a pair of western chassis 3 inch drop springs and a pair of belltech 3 inch adjustable struts in the front, and a western chassis 6 inch flip with a 1 inch lift shackle in the rear. im pretty happy with the results. noticably low, but still driveable everywhere i go. i dont think the old getter looks that bad for my daily!! what do yall think?

yeah, it measured 5.5" when we finished, but im sure it will still settle. im going to give it the once-over-double-check saturday, remeasure it, then schedule the alignment. i know it wont line back up perfectly, but i have enough adjustment left to get it really, really close. and by the way, in the shot of the front tire, the curb rash was already on the tires, its not from rubbing. i can still stick 2 fingers straight into the wheel well, and i have plenty of clearance on the inner fender. im really happy with the way it turned out. i was originally only planning on using the 3 inch spring, but i broke the top of the struts and couldnt get the old springs off. after much bitching, pissing and moaning, i stumbled onto the belltech struts at stylintrucks.com they were just about the same price as the factory replacement units....plus i had a coupon, so it was a no brainer.
thanks for all the comments, rev.walt a.k.a. drastic 04
